Medical Transportation - Wheelchair, Stretcher and Ambulatory Services in Metro Atlanta
Wheelchair transport is for those both permanently and temporarily confined to a wheelchair. The wheelchair patient must be capable of sitting up straight in order to ride in a wheelchair for transport.
More critical patients are transported on the stretcher and accompanied by an EMT while in transit.
Ambulatory patients are those who are able to walk to the transport unit without assistance. These patients only require the assistance of transport.
